Aromas of graphite, cedar and raspberry bush gently rise from the glass. A second smell reveals deeper notes of ripe fruit and coffee/mocha. The wine’s entry is firm but luscious as the wine spreads out over the entire palate. Soft tannins coat the tongue and flavors of cherry and cranberry mix with toasted oak and hints of vanilla. The finish is lingering but crisp inviting another sip.

Farming is in their blood.  Their parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles all made their living working the land. Eastern Washington is in their blood. They came here as young children and have always called it home. When they planted their first vines in 1997 they were entering uncharted territory. Today, they farm 13 distinct estate vineyard sites totaling nearly 1600 acres. Their grapes are purchased by some of the most prestigious wineries in the state. Their own winery, launched in 2005, produces highly individualistic wines from their estate and neighboring vineyards.

"Craig Mitrakul is one of the up and coming winemaking stars in Washington." ~ Wine Press NW

This is an elegant wine made in a Northern Rhone style.  The nose is fragrant with ripe raspberry accented by floral and smoke aromas.  The palate is bursting with raspberry and boysenberry flavors leading to a supple texture of refined tannins. The finish is long and evolving.

They're also wonderful hosts and you'll be hard pressed to find a nicer pair of people in the wine business."

An estate grown beauty from Mike and Laura's own Wahluke Slope Vineyard where the hot sun and good soil overlooking the rolling Columbia River provide for superior grape growing.  This syrah is the very reason we chose to add Saint Laurent to our small but precious list.

Attractive red color with violet hues.  Aromas of intense ripe fruits: cherries, blackberries, blueberries and fresh plums...combined with spicy and floral hints.  Sweet and round tannins increase the "fruit sensation" and balance.  good intensity, concentration and long aftertaste.

Barbera is an ancient varietal with it's historical roots in Italy.  RP's has a rich hue with gentle tannins and a bright acidity.  The flavors open up to show smokiness integrated behind the richness with a blackberry finish.  16 months in American and French oak, only 469 cases made, this wine rocks!

"One of Washington State's most talented young winemakers, Craig Mitrakul is pursuing one of his passions - Riesling - on a personal level.  And this debut of his label is for those seeking serious Riesling.  Lemon cream pie, white peach, Asian pear, apple blossom and rosewater aromas dive into bone-dry flavors of more apple and lemon.  There's a bright sheen to acidity and a finish of peach and peach pit."
